Personal information Collection and Use

MLH’s hiring process consists of multiple steps designed to evaluate your skills and qualifications for a particular position. When you choose to participate in the MLH hiring process, you will be asked to provide MLH with personal information about yourself. The personal information that you provide will be used to match your skills and interest to MLH job requirements. Your personal information will also be used, among other things, to contact and identify you throughout and after the hiring process.

The following are examples of personal information that may be collected in the hiring and onboarding process:

* Government Issued ID (only to be collected if an offer of employment is extended to you)

The information that you share with MLH may be used by MLH suppliers for the purposes of administering services in the MLH hiring process. For example, MLH may provide personal information about you to a supplier that will administer selection tools such as background and employment checks and professional references.  We will not share your personal information with other third parties for their independent use without your permission. However, nothing in this Privacy Statement prevents the disclosure of your personal information in connection with a legal proceeding or a government agency inquiry or investigation.

Cookies and Other Tracking Devices

We may use cookies and other tracking devices on our websites. Using cookies on our sites provide benefits to you, such as allowing you to maintain your login information between visits. The use of cookies also allows us to measure site activity to provide a better user experience. Cookies and other tracking devices may be used to tell us things such as the time and length of your visit, the pages you visit on our site, the site you visited just before coming to ours, and the name of your Internet Service Provider.

MLH recognizes the importance of safeguarding your personal information under its control from theft, inappropriate use, or improper distribution and will use reasonable physical, technical and administrative measures with the goal of protecting your personal information. All personal information collected in the hiring process will be scanned and stored on servers primarily located in the United States with the possibility of storage outside the United States.  It should be recognized that data transmission over the internet or data storage systems is not 100% secure; therefore, no company can perfectly protect personal information.

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

If you would like to review, correct, update, delete or otherwise limit MLH’s use of your personal information that was previously provided to MLH, you can log into the system by using the username and password you created.

Your personal information is presently stored in the database of our service provider on a server located in the United States with the possibility of storage outside the United States. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement unless longer retention is required by law or for auditing purposes.  By submitting your application, you agree to be included in our applicant pool, whereby your data can be stored for a longer period of time.

We do not collect or process any sensitive personal information (concerning religion, political opinions or other beliefs, union affiliation or activities, health, sexuality, criminal administrative proceedings or sanctions) as part of our hiring process; therefore, we ask that you do not disclose or otherwise send this information through our website or directly to MLH.

We retain the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time without notice. The effective date of this Privacy Statement is noted in the header at the top of this page. Any changes to this Privacy Statement will be posted in a timely manner. Please refer to the website to see the most current version of the Privacy Statement.
